Lands and Natural Resources Minister leads high-level government delegation to Earl Group

MINISTER FOR LANDS AND NATURAL RESOURCES AND DELEGATION VISIT EARL GROUP

On Wednesday, March 25, 2025, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, led a high-level government delegation to our Gbane Gold Project site.

The delegation comprised Hon. Yussif Suleman, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources; Mr. Innocent Marcus Haligah, Chief Director at the Ministry; Mr. Isaac Tandoh, Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission; Mr. Joseph Frimpong, Chief Inspector of Mines; Mr. John Amoanyi, Deputy Chief Inspector of Mines; Mr. Donatus Akamugri, Upper East Regional Minister; and mining inspectors from the Tamale Office of the Minerals Commission, among other senior government officials.

This visit provided the Minister and his delegation with an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the operations of Earl International Group Ghana Limited.

Hon. Buah expressed profound delight at the substantial investments made in the Gbane Gold Project and commended the management for the ongoing expansion works, which signal significant socioeconomic benefits for the Upper East Region and Ghana.

He pledged the government’s unwavering support to Earl in addressing challenges hindering the company’s mining operations, with the aim of maximizing the gold project’s potential.

According to him, establishments such as Earl require government support to standardize operations and chart a growth path that benefits Ghanaians through job creation and financial obligations to the state.

The Minister emphasized the need for deeper collaboration with stakeholders, high regulatory compliance, and enhanced community development.

General Manager of Earl Group, Liu Jin Tao, noted that despite challenges, significant investments have been made in the Gbane Gold Project, demonstrating the company’s resolve to drive socioeconomic growth.

Mr. Liu assured that Earl remains committed to growing with its host communities and adhering to the highest standards of mining practices through close collaboration with Ghana’s mining sector regulatory institutions.
