Deputy Chief Inspector of Mines inspects Earl’s new processing plant construction work, health post

NEW CIL TANKS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Ongoing expansion work on Earl International Group’s gold processing plant has been inspected and commended by the Mineral Commission’s Deputy Chief Inspector of Mines, John Amoanyi.

During a working visit to the mine site in Gbane in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region, Mr Amoanyi expressed the Mineral Commission’s commendation at the huge investments and ongoing expansion works at the processing plant which is being undertaken by the Earl Group under the Gbane Gold Project.

The expansion works include the installation of new high capacity primary and secondary ore-crushers, new Carbon-In-Leach (CIL) tanks amongst others. Upon completion and operationalization, the processing plant will have the capacity to mill approximately 5,000 tons of ore per day.

Four vertical shafts are currently in operation while two new vertical shafts are under construction.

Mr Amoanyi acknowledged safety protocols deployed at the construction and mining areas and the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment by workers on site.

He proceeded to inspect a first response health center situated in the mine operations yard, established under a health and safety program of the company.
