Talensi District Director of Health Services Visits Earl Mine Site

We were glad to receive the Talensi District Director of Health Services, Ms. Juliana Anam-Erime, and her team at our operations site in Gbane.

The working visit offered us an opportunity to present an overview of our operations and social investments in the Talensi District to the team.

Key among the team that arrived at our mine site on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, was the Chairman of the Talensi District Health Management Committee, Naab Melugsong Kupaasa Mogre, who also serves as the Chief of Tindongo.

The purpose of the visit was, among other reasons, to inspect the newly established Health Post in our operations yard, which is part of our improved Health and Safety Policy. This Health Post aims to attend to the health needs of Earl staff and serve as a first point of call for first medical response in emergencies.

Other components of our Health and Safety Policies include the establishment of a rescue team trained and certified by the Minerals Commission, and the operationalization of an equipped Safety Gallery to offer timely rescue response to mining-related incidents.

Ms. Juliana Anam-Erime expressed delight after conducting an inspection of the Earl Health Centre.

In an interaction with the facility’s staff, she encouraged them to strive to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and discipline required in healthcare delivery, while also offering counseling on how to optimize the operations of the well-equipped health center.

The Public Relations Officer of Earl, Ebenezer Bognaab, noted that the Earl Group has never relented in its efforts to improve the health and safety aspects of its operations, and the company will continue to take steps to enhance the safety of its workers and invest in health infrastructure.

He disclosed that the company is set to make a significant investment in health for its host communities through the construction of an ultra-modern hospital in Gbane.
